Oysterband

Review from Roxy Concerts in Flensbrug 07. nov. 08

This was my second visit to Roxy, a nice venue in an old factory,first was was in 2007 and since last time they really improved thevenue with new restrooms.
The venus has a mix of high chairs and tables, and space in the front for the moshers, 2 bars and a kind of cage for the smokers with glas,so that they could see the stage from their cage. Proberly there was
some speakers in there, i don'y smoke so i was'nt in there.

Sadly the stock of the new album, they had along for the tour was sold out, but i did order my 3 copies for the family to Ian.

Warm up act for the Oysterband was Dan Donnely, who also in the springgig in Hamburg was warming up for the Oysters.He does some great stuff with his guitar and had some good songs.Bought his cd and are looking forward to listen to it.Alan was also in for few songs with Dan

After Dan it was time for Oysterband and they gave an gig full of energy and had the crowd singing along from the first song.30 years of touring and they still are going strong and you can still sence how they love to play and you also can sence that Gil is a part of Oysterband with his way of doing the drums and beat to the songs, he had his heart in the songs. Dan was also playing with Oysterband on this gig.
